St Vincent's, Takapau

The first service held in this rural church was on March 17th 1895 and the following year Archbishop Francis Redwood consecrated the church. Sydney Johnston donated the land on which the church stood and a substantial portion of the cost of the building

The church building was gifted to Orawharo Homestead where it is now used for functions.
